Sing Yin Restaurant opening at the W Hotel Hong Kong #whongkong

I meant to blog these on Monday or Tuesday but between the Project Lotus and Lane Crawford events, it got pushed back! 

Last week I had the pleasure of being invited by our friends at the W Hotel to the opening of their new Chinese restaurant Sing Yin -

Very nice design, as you would expect from the W of course.

I came at the tail end of the opening ceremony. They had a Lion Dance and the ceremonial roast pig -

Gong Hey Fat Choi! :-D

The meal was quite fancy too -

Gold foil tipped dumpling (i would have rather passed on the gold and had more than one per person... but that's just me!) ;-)

The beef was quite good.

There were a lot of seafood courses that I passed on (no pictures for you, sorry!)  but they looked quite fancy...

and last but not least, the dessert.  it was pretty good.   I love a good sesame ball when I can get it!
