Nine Inch Nails... not a fan.

Last night we went to see the Nine Inch Nails perform at Asia World Expo Center here in HK...

昨日香港でコンサートへ行った。あまり面白くないよ！

I can't say I've ever been a big fan of theirs,  but of course they had a lot of hits in the last 10 years, so I recognized a lot of their stuff... but I didn't really enjoy the show that much...

I dusted off my old broken EX-Z500,  it can still take a halfway decent shot or two if i do it right:

I've been going to a lot of small concerts and stuff over the last year or so,  so it was cool to see a big show in a big venue,  but this place was so loud (and the venue was pretty empty, only a few thousand people attending).  Even with earplugs it was annoyingly loud to go anywhere near the stage for more than a few minutes.... even with earplugs it was loud enough from out in the snack bar!

partly because of the earplugs, and partly because of the sound mixing (and the type of music NIN plays),  you couldn't hear much except a lot of thumping drums and screeching guitars.  The guitarist might as well just have 1 string on his guitar... cause all i could hear was some random humming and buzzing once in a while. :-P

Some people were really enjoying themselves.  a lot of weird heavy metal looking white guys coming out of the woodwork too,  not the kind you see walking down the street in HK very often... I wonder where they came from?!

I took a video too of course.  i did some simple video editing, just cause i don't think it was worth the time to edit any further.  You may want to skip ahead to the last 1/3 or so to hear the songs you can recognize...　もちろんビデオを撮った。見て下さい。

In conclusion - i left the show without being a bigger fan of NIN than I was going into it.  I think that pretty much says it all.
