How to get from China to Taiwan According to Google Maps

I was reading an article online and it mentioned this interesting 'feature' on Google maps.

It presents you with a challenge:

How Google Says to Get From China to Taiwan

*Open Google Maps' Directions. *Type in "China" as the starting point. *Type in "Taiwan" as the destination. *Scroll down and read step 48. *Try not to laugh.So I decided to give it a try.  You can click on this link to jump straight there.

It brings up a map with a route from approximately the center of China to the center of Taiwan.

Note that it says 'This route includes a ferry'...  I suppose so,  because how else would you get across the Straits of Taiwan?

Then we get to the direction details:

somewhat standard Google Maps stuff... even tells you the name of the routes in Chinese and when they're toll roads... how convenient! :-P

Recall that the instructions in the challenge said:

*Scroll down and read step 48. *Try not to laugh.OK... so what happens at step 48?

OK,  leave a comment on this pic if you laughed out loud when you saw that. :-P

And then continue straight for 1.1km  (after you take a short break to rest I assume?)

Any other bizarre ones like this?  I tried a bunch... in most cases it says 'We could not calculate directions between ___ and ____.' 

But I got one to work... directions between China and Japan:
