Tuesday Night Chris Kong hosted a second exhibition at his new Garageworks Gallery (which opened with the Pat Lee artwork exhibition + Orius Comic launch last month).
This event was to showcase well known artist Ron English and a collaboration product he produced with Garageworks, called 'Grin', a freaky exaggerated character similar to Charlie Brown of 'Peanuts' fame.
"Good grief my skull is showing!"
This is the current color scheme. The yellow one is for a future limited edition version apparently.
It took me a while to get the reference.... Grateful Dead bears? or is it just my imagination? :-P
Homer Simpson meets Jackson Pollack...
That's Ron English, signing a figure...
Look who's here! Race and Rosanne!
While they're in the neighborhood, they took home something they left in December... hmm... where to hang it? Maybe I can convince them to give it away to a flame member for January's drawing. ;-)
anyway, I'm glad there was a great turnout at Garageworks. Chris will be doing events there often, let's hope they are all as cool as this one!
