Diesel Hong Kong Flagship Store Opening Event

Last night we went to a big shindig in Kowloon for a special occasion - Diesel's new 'Flagship' Store for Hong Kong. 

You guys may recall that we did a bunch of events w/ Diesel in the fall, and also Pat Lee did a 'live drawing' event too.  all of which were held in Central HK at a space they were using as a gallery.   Actually the whole time they had planned to turn that space into the main Diesel retail location for Hong Kong.   Well it took them a few months of work, but  the store is finished and last night they had the opening party.

水曜日夜は大イベントが在った。香港でDiesel服ブランドは新’京’店を開けました。それから大きパーティーがした。九龍でファションショウした。有名な人が居た。僕のビデオと写真を見て！

Aside from an open house at the store itself (which i didn't go to cause i was working late),  so I went straight to the bigger events - a Fashion show in Kowloon and the after party:

It was held at the PopTV Arena - same place as 'Wild Day Out' and Jacky Cheung's concert tour.  They put a big inflatable tent up for the runway show and a hanger like building for the after party.

There was a big big line trying to get into the tent,  Elena and I barely made it in before they stopped letting people in.  We luckily found some seats down at the very end of the runway...

After seemingly forever, the lights went low and a curtain was pulled and a ton of (fake?) photographers started snapping away w/ flashing cameras:

There were actually cameramen at both ends and of course models walking down the infinitely long runway... with bleachers towering over both sides packed w/ some of HK's most fashionable people (and me too).

As you may have seen from the video, there were a lot of famous faces sitting in the front row near us. Check out my grainy zoomed pictures:　有名な顔を知っていますか？

oh snap! two classic HK film stars I've never had the opportunity to see in person before. Awesome!  (yes,  i still get excited to see these big big stars...  )　すごい！

Afterwards we headed over to the adjoining structure,  which had a big DJ party going - 隣でDJパーティも有った：

some good DJs...  the party was not bad, but I didn't stay super late (only about 1:15),  thursday was a busy day too... 　楽しかったでこ、あまり遅くまでしなかった、次日の朝が用事があった！

... and friday will be even worse! :-P
