Last night we were invited to attend the 3rd anniversary fashion show put on by La Miu ( www.lamiu.com), a high end online women's lingerie brand here in the Mainland. You may recall I shared a humorous promo video they with Chrissie Chau did a few days ago....
Alfred, Stephen, two La Miu girls and long-time-no-see Marco G! The event was at Sanlitun Soho.
All I knew to expect was some lingerie and special guest Hong Kong model/actress Chrissie Chau.
Chrissie joins La Miu CEO and the MC on stage... wearing.... well...
let me share a full length pic...
The emperor has no clothes... or in this case the emperess's skirt is see through! :-P
The fashion show itself was interesting for obvious reasons... but as long time Etchy blog readers know, this isn't my first lingerie event, so the skimpy clothes and skin don't excite me that much... :-P
(I was purely taking photos for the sake of blogging, I assure you).
At the end they had Chrissie come out in another outfit...
Actually they had a weibo photo competition at the event. They announced it before the show started on the TV screen in Chinese. From what I gathered you needed to tag a photo on Sina weibo with the tag '拍蘭繆'.....
I'm never one to turn down an opportunity to use social media to its fullest... so I also took pics with my iPhone and uploaded them to our AnD Sina weibo account. (FYI - that's the Chinese microblogging platform similar to Twitter).
I actually got a really good one at the beginning when they gave Chrissie a bottle of champagne to open to kick off the show -
That's a winnerif ever there was one! :-D
(please Sean, keep the sexual innuendo to yourself!)
Well gues what? I did in fact get picked as one of the 4 winners.
Here's Chrissie giving me my prize... a 1000 RMB (~US$150) in gift vouchers... for La Miu lingerie. Hmm... what am I going to do with these?
the funny thing is since we were all photo snapping geeks, there was no shame about taking pics while we were on stage.... I didn't ask Chrissie to take one with me though.
(yes, I did put a sticker on myself before I went on stage... kind of shameless, I know...)
Congrats to the La Miu team for an entertaining event. I'm looking forward to their next anniversary!
UPDATE: doh, I didn't make it into the news coverage. but you can get a better view of Chrissie's outfits here:
