Busy Saturday night of fun

As I mentioned the other day, things were busy the last few days.  not only events thursday and friday night, but also saturday.    Hypothetically Th/F were 'work' and Saturday was pure recreation though.

At lunch time Swang and I met up with visiting AnD member Mio, who was down in HK from Tokyo for the weekend with her friend.  I wanted to make sure she had a good time since she has been helpful to me in my quest to promote AnD in Japan... (despite the fact that we don't have a Japanese interface... yet). 

I gave them some tips on sightseeing and shopping and let them go wild on Mongkok, then went home and took a nap.  At night with a lot of help from Bob, I made sure they got at least one authentic 'local' meal:

土曜日午後は日本からの友達と会った、みおちゃんとまいちゃん。晩後時一緒に食事しました。広東の料理でした。

Also visiting was Wu Di from Beijing. 

He savored his first chance to try the 1000ml size Asahi.

But we couldn't stay at dinner too long, we had to rush back to the Cavern, scene of last weekend's ' WBOB',  to once again see some live music.  By the time we got there, the 3rd band was setting up,  its a band called 'Very Ape':

By the way Mio, they ARE Japanese!  彼ら日本人ですよ！

I can't say I'm going to become a big fan of theirs, but they were better than a lot of bands I've seen performing the last few months. ;-)

Of course Audiotraffic did a great set... I'd probably have enjoyed it more if I hadn't seen them perform TWO times in the previous 7 days... but that's OK... I'm learning all the words by heart now. :-P

In addition to the great music, the other highlight of the Underground 49 show was the door prize drawings.  they had like 3 iPod Shuffles to give away and an iPod 'Classic',  but it turned out Mio won what was probably the best prize of the night:

After that we met up with a bunch of people at a KTV in CWB.  I probably shouldn't share any of the pictures I took, but I'll try tempt fate and put up at least one:

I was really impressed with how into it he was...  I've never seen someone rock so hard to 'Careless Whisper'before...
