Moving forward

This is a quick note to keep my profile relevant.  I never have been much of a blogger.

We're approaching the first HETEROgENIUS party, which is a concept I've come up with aiming to pull different people together to have parties/events and recognize newer talents from a broader spectrum than Hong Kong might be used to.  It's a result of having held successful Dumb Boat Ninjas parties and wanting to elaborate on the vibe we created.  

The angle is non-exclusive, cheap, if not free, no bullshit events where the music is great, people are noticed and supported, people smile, and fun is paramount.

There will be no strict door policies.  If you want to wear a chicken suit to our party and have a good time then you're welcome to.  As long as you have a good time.

The inspiration behind HETEROgENIUS is me feeling like Hong Kong could always do with more new ideas in the attempt to liven up the sometimes bland night life.  Granted this city can be difficult to inject culture into, and people can be very slow on the uptake, but it's not to say it can't be done.  

If you are an artist of any kind who'd like to be involved some how in a music based event, be it day or night, inside or out, or whatever, then mention it to me to see if we can work together.  I envisage people showing art, dancers, product displays - anything really!  It's all in the name of having fun, dancing, and pushing newer things in Hong Kong.

The first event is at CLIQ, Friday 23rd May, and features 6 DJs and 2 MCs.
