We just learned that a book we designed and art directed - Asian Palate - won the International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook Awards (formerly known as the Julia Child awards) for best book in the Wine/Beer/Spirits category. The book was chosen out of more than 500 titles in 17 categories. It also won the 2009 Gourmand World Cookbook Award for “Best Book on Matching Food and Wine in the World” against nearly 6,000 other books from 136 countries. It was also shortlisted as one of four books considered for the UK’s André Simon Award. We like it when that happens.
