syrup desserts [artwalk] 5.14.10

so every month, i live body paint on a couple of models at SYRUP DESSERTS - Syrup Desserts is a dessert shop in downtown los angeles that serves home made waffles, crepes, and makes their own specialty teas. its a local hot spot and rates mostly four or five stars on yelp.com. i have artwork at syrup desserts, and every month i body paint inside the restaurant in order to promote the place.

this months models is the theme of brains and beauty: katrina palomara, born and raised in the philipines is a scientist but also works hollywood at night as an event promoter. army chung is a ucla grad - smart as hell, she wants to further pursue education. she also works as a korean translator, voice over actress, and is a promotional model. i had great reviews that they were.. well… easy on the eyes, haha.

my videographer, dinh thai, had the girls and i facing the restaurant window (more footage from dinh will br provided later)

from the window - his head his down but hokuto konishi from MTV’s ‘america’s best dance crew’ was kind enough to make time and visit me at syrup. hokuto is a talented breaker and a phenomenal illustrator/graphic artist.

i was featured on THE HUNDREDS website in their artwalk blog - tons of people congratulated me for being on the website because its “the hottest clothing company out right now”

we were being watched like animals at the zoo. how invasive and thrilling all at the same time, haha

and this is jason, my boyfriend. he’s a lawyer and a retired MMA fighter. he’s my bear.
