my valentines day this year was awesome! i didnt expect much, because last years vday ended well but it was rocky: i had to deal with some legal matters, got yelled at by my dad because of it… my valentine was in oakland but didnt even wish me a happy valentines day… i self medicated by shopping, which was fine…and i cried because i thought i was gonna eat dinner by myself (my original plans cancelled on me…i was trying to suck it up) but i got to spend time with my boys in the end so it was okay… haha they got me giant pocky!
this i was pretty persistent about having a valentine…. but then the past week, well, month, has been exhausting for me in that department so i was happy to fly solo. well technically my friend, jane, was my valetine, so that was awesome
SOOO… my day: i woke up and painted until 3pm…. went to work 430 - 730 teaching in ktown. ugh!!! i was pissed!!! i got my pay check… and i work part time but its been a month and a half and the money i made was less than how much i make one night doing promotional activities… so sad!! and THEN i got a parking ticket, which i had a parking ticket last week so LITERALLY more than half my paycheck is gone… PISSED! oh well. i went to the gym, and if you ever wondered, people DO go to the gym on valentines day, 930 at night.
i went to tokyo table, where jane was working… i sat in my own booth (which i usually do) and i had dinner — green tea, miso soup, side salad, a cohiba roll (salmon, california roll, lemon), sukiyaki, and champagne.. i brought my laptop and watched sweeney todd (because in the spirit of valentines day, that movie is very romantic… a man goes on a killing spree because he lost his family…dude, thats romance.)
hehe my little set up
me looking mad with mister todd and my macbook pro
a couple of my arcadianese friends stopped by the resturant and had some beer which was really great — so because of them, my day felt more complete.
afterwards we went to wokcano and had sake with filet mingon cubes, fried rice, etc. i also brought the rest of my red velvet cake and gave it to jane and jason.. they shared it with everyone, well janes piece, bc it was gargantuan..
jane tied a balloon to my purse, her love follows me wherever i go
my life is so richill blog my actual painting later… its in the works and i rather show the process all at once instead of pieces of it here and there…..
female + gemini + hippie artist = 3 types of crazy = you lose. like an asian version of frida kahlo minus the old balls cheating husband .
