[ COMMISSION. ]
im not sure how i did it, but i completed a commission for a painting this past weekend.
i received an email around wednesday/thursday to have a painting ($100) done by sunday. the present was for their cousin (male) who loves cigars, hot women, and was a fan of noah’s fine art (www.noahfineart.com). i figured if i could combine the feel of noah’s art with the cigar-box feel, i could turn something out to the client’s liking.
i had a very busy weekend, i had to paint around my schedule -
FRI: 8am-11am: painted before a business lunch meeting
4pm-6pm: quick paint before dinner, work, then bday at a bar
3am-4am: painted before bed
SAT: 11am-3pm: painted before class and working nightlife
SUN: 10am-2pm: finished the painting before it was due at 4:30pm
[ REFERENCE/INSPIRATION. ]
“the golden child” by noah fine art.
cigar box (google images)
i wanted to incorporate a female figure and the idea of seduction without being blatant. i also liked the cigar box labels, so i found a way to incorporate everything.
