"Land of Origin"

My short story "Land of Origin" is about a Taiwanese-American lawyer, a Public Defender, who lives an empty life in Los Angeles, and who then gets a new job in Taiwan, eventually moving to Kaohsiung, Taiwan and getting mixed up with betel nut girls (bing lang xi shi) and the gangster underworld.
