Normally, I don’t go out to theaters very much, but so far, this summer, I’ve been able to see a few movies, and so far so good.
Last night I watched UP in 3-D… such a touching film! I cried within the first 10 minutes! And honestly, I don’t even think you really need to watch the film in 3-D… the glasses are annoying at times. Pixar is definitely consistent with good storytelling here. I definite...Read more
A good idea of how last night’s vigil in LA went down:
Praying for peace and calm for the families of Laura and Euna during this time. And praying for the safe return of Laura and Euna in the very near future!

Speaking of which… I was listening to some old K-Pop/Rock mp3s from back then… and it was a bit of a trip. Been a looong time since I’ve been into Korean music or any Asian (overseas) music… actually… any music. My favorite music was and still is ’90s rock. I don’t even know what’s out there in the music world right now and it’s been awhile since I’ve kept up with the Asian American music scene >_FM! Def love how they’re...Read more
Alright. It’s that time of year again. My music video program for the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival is coming up. This is my third year curating it and they say “third time’s a charm!”
This year, we’re taking it downtown to the Downtown Independent and Toyota has come on board to soup up the night with what should be an excellent rooftop after party! Of cour...Read more
Back in late ‘06, Michael Kang approached me about finding music for his film WEST 32ND. Michael specifically wanted to include as many Asian American artists as possible, so this was quite a pleasure for me. Back then, my Myspace music “database” of Asian American artists was a really good resource, plus being able to ask my musician friends...Read more
