studio time.

Working on a little chiffon bridal number here. Making a dress is an artform, not only the design, draping, preparation, cutting, sewing - breathing a little life and creating another life and dimension in fabric. These are the reasons why we love this. A piece of fabric can be manipulated and changed into another form. It can be complicated, or simple. Never becomes tiresome.
Right here in Shanghai, there are very talented hands that are the best that they are in life, and their hands and their thinking never ceases to amaze me.
It can be done here in China. You can slow fashion right down and create many designs of beauty. We can challenge the processes in fashion here and within our own cycle we work towards zero waste. It’s a lot of fun!

Hi All.
ME SUPER BAD. We have been sooo madly busy with new projects that the past 6 months have just whizzed by. Now its time to update you with a bit of a peek.
We opened a new studio in Shanghai and its been a beautiful start for Peony Rice. Renovating... cleaning, designing, pull each the space and the designs together and trying to keep our head above the water and staying sane.
Here's a first glimpse - We are proud to share some of our creations in calico for Peony Rice Bridal waiting for a first fitting and eager to take more serious form in beautiful white silks. Ready soon enough. So brides to be and friends of Peony Rice - do come visit us soon for a glass of bubbly and a look. We will be waiting for you. =)
A few of our cocktail numbers too. All special made to order so we don't waste any fabrics.

GOSH.... i am sooooooo LATE.
HAPPY NEW YEAR.... TWICE OVER.. Chinese New Year is about to hit.
Had an awesome birthday, Christmas and new Year.. and now i get to do it all over again.
