another year older

Wow....I seriously have never had so many people say Happy Birthday to me. Teaching a workshop in Japan

Wow...I haven't been too good about blogging.  Well..last week I went to Japan to teach a workshop and get certified as an instructor.  I was pretty nervous since Ania told me that the students were expecting me to teach something more Cabaret/Broadway style. Last night I had the pleasure of finally working with the best musicians in town!  We had a gig for the opening of the W Hotel. A good start to 2009

There is nothing more important to me than spending time with my family.  I am VERY close to my family and there isn't a day that goes by where I don't think about them and wish that they lived in the same country as me.  So, obviously every year I really look forward to the holidays where we all gather together and spend quality time together just watching movies, eating, and laughing all day.

World Cup after party for Omega

On Sunday I had to perform in Shenzhen at the Mission Hills golf course.  Ania (my teacher) and I performed for the after party of the World Cup and it was sponsored by Omega watch....I was really  nervous for the performance because it was going to be my first time performing pole dance and we didn't even have time to rehearse.  So, basically, the whole night was going to be improv!  The pole that we were using was a stage pole...which is a lower pole with a stage so that you don't need a ceiling to put up the pole......Read more

Pole Dancing Final Results part 2

I woke up on Sat, Nov 29th (the day after the competition) with a pain in my muscles…my shoulder, my back, my neck……and all these bruises had appeared along my lower legs and thighs.  I also had this strange looking scratch on my arm!

nervous, scared, and exhausted!!!

Ok, so....the pole dancing competition is coming up this Friday....I am completely and utterly terrified!!! I really hope that this will be the last competition that I ever have to do in my life.  I'm starting to feel nervous because today at practice I could barely get through the entire routine!  I'm going to have to change a few things around in my routine and put the hard things more at the beginning...by the end of my routine I'm so exhausted I can't get my legs up on the pole for the upside down move!!!...Read more
