The Nike AM team finally got a chance to spend a day in HK…
Tears may be flowing on the inside but, Stefan Janoski is always smiling even after a huge fall and even when a crazy cab driving gives them the run around…he’s just a nice guy!

Sights of China during “Stefan Janoski Week”

We went over to China to meet up with the Nike SB am team.
Here are some of the unusual sights that you can only see while in china…
A discarded LV or VL bag in the trash inside of a mall
Birkenstocks Davo’s for 10 RMB= $1.46 USD
It was Theotis’s birthday and his special request was Pizza Hut for dinner. Check out the Pizza Hut sign. He was happy though and that’s all that matters on your birthday!
Later that night, we decided to take them for some R&R at the local massage spot. We ponged for a bit and found out that they were surprisingly all really good ping pong players except for Janoski (but he’s still better than Clavarall) Humphries was amazing yet calm the whole time as he smashed the ball hard!
Meanwhile…Justin Brock was alone in HK still without a passport! Sorry Son!
Although we don’t see Janoski often, everytime we see each other we just all pick up like it was just yesterday! You will be missed Stefan especially that laugh of yours!

Fast forward to 2004, he came with Reese Forbes, Beebs, again Tim O’Connor, Anthony Claravall and some other heads. He’s not only having the same amazing skills he had when I first saw him but even better than ever. This time he’s skating on Etnies and about to release his pro model shoes. A couple of months later, he got an offer by Nike SB and he took the opportunity. He definitely made the right decision.
Just a week ago in 2009, Stefan came with Nike SB Am team, I haven’t seen Stefan for almost 5 years, he’s the same ol’ Stefan, still got the best smile on his face, he’s more relaxed which means he’s super damn funny with his dope jokes. He’s also in love (psyched for him), he looks the same with extra facial hair on his face and Stefan, you always look good, goofy good! And he’s about to release his own PROFESSIONAL model shoes from Nike SB and that’s a super big deal. The best thing is that, when you are good on your skateboard with amazing good style, you’ll have an amazing shoe model. Stefan is the case, his pro model shoes are none of those bullshit marsh mellow looking shoes or potato with lace looking shoes but actually a good shoe with amazing shape and style. Many people said it looks like AVE Sk8 Low, in person but, it looks quite different actually. Well, overall, it’s a good shoe for chilling and skateboarding. I’m backing Stefan 110%, that’s for sure. His shoes are releasing in May 2009 with a huge crazy release party like no other can!…Watch out!

So Nike SB Am team (including Stefan) are going to Shen Zhen today but, there’s always a but huh? BUT, Justin Brock couldn’t enter due to his fucked up looking passport! Not the photo, Justin looks fine, it’s just the passport is so fucked up, it looks similar to that Chinese vegetable dish called Mui Choi, anyway, the Chinese immigration took one look at his passport and flat out denied his entry! Weird, it’s not a bootleg passport but, when immigration says “no” there’s no working around that.
So, Andy (Henrie), the second best team manager after Jeff Pang called me up and informed me about the situation.
If you don’t know Justin Brock (check out youtube.com for his craziness), there’s no way, we’re missing this chance to skate with him and seeing how it’s Thursday night which means Chai Wan skate night. Warren and I took him to Chai Wan skatepark for a session!Dayeem, it was more like a demo! Justin is a beast, super super super amazing on the miniramp with a smile on his face the whole time! Dayeem, he’s super fuckin good, it’s retarded! Honestly, he’s one of my favorites now, super super natural, fast at everything he does. He does it like Godzilla, super big! Also, one of the meanest dopest tre flip out there, Dayeem sun.
Check out them photos! If you are lucky, you’ll still see him around Hong Kong shredding it! Mad respect.
OH, he even brought Atlanta to Hong Kong. He taught us to use Kitty Litter to dry out the miniramp! Genius! Shit works like WOW!

skateboarding, Ping Ponging, and laughing non stop!

During the craziness of all the factories re-opening, our necks up into working on Know1edge FW2009, and new projects popping up like weed...we were busy with our duties as the Official HK Welcoming committee. It's a good job and someones got to do it...Good friends, pong, skateboarding, and constant laughing...hey who's complaining?
Joe Brook, Rob G, Rodrigo TX, Adelmo, Anthony C AKA Shrek "Where's your Fiona?", Tyrone all flew in through Hong. We hate the fact that we'll never be better than them at skateboarding so we decided to lure them up for a G.M.T pong session. HK D.T AKA Dream Team were the reigning champions of course!
We met up with the LRG in China
In case you don't know Adelmo, he's got dreads down past his ass. He's also the new black in China. We had every local from kids to servers to even the masseurs during a relaxing massage ask non stop questions about Adelmo..."Who is he?" "Where did he come from" "how does he wash his hair?" "Where does he live?" "How? What? Where? Why?" etc...it was like being with Michael Jackson for the day! You can see in this picture how he just blends in, in China!
We finally met up with our fellow Blacklodger Lady L over some good Chinese food, and drinks to plan out ways to conquer the world...not for another year of course, we're realistic!
We held the "Mind Field" premiere at Maison Siswojo with the homies (Chico Brenes, Tyrone (Not Olson), Anthony Claravall and Kelly Hart took the train all the way from Shen Zhen China, not only to have dinner at Outback Steakhouse (A few weeks in China and you might find yourself there too) but to watch this premier! Also some OG Hong Kong locals showed up; WZA, Lee Hawk, Andy Lee, Walking, Canadian Wai and Nigel Ong were there. The only one missing was Lob G, where you at sun?. We presume it’s because he was fearful of loosing to wifey in a competitive session of G.M.T Ping Pong! It’s Ok Rob, we understand!
