My blog

  • 2008 Draws to a close!!!

    Monday, Dec 22, 2008 5:15PM / Standard Entry / Members only

    Hey guys and gals,

Well we are still alive (not dead) excuse the pun, things have been crazier and crazier here in the UK

Currently the boys and my silly self are resting up after some serious studio time, we've managed to solidify

two great new tracks for the upcoming album, and well now it's Christmas so we need to all split off and spend time with our families...  2009 predicts a few things for me, my company will begin a very immense documentary project, I shall be kicking off the new TV series and the band will be touring....  I will quite possibly add a new account up on this here community so I can update more things and spread the art around.

I just hope everyone back in the East and the far West and all the places in between, find the warmest happiness in this holiday period.  I hope we can all talk a little more often on here and I'd love to share some Christmas stories and pics with you on this blog ;) so please reply if you feel the urge.

Take care you crazy cats and have a wild and wonderful Christmas and a happy as can be New Year

    Peace, Love, Empathy.

    Dani  xXx

  • FINALLY!!!!

    Wednesday, Nov 19, 2008 5:21PM / Standard Entry / Members only

    Hey all...

Well finally had the time to add a blog entry, it's been way way WAAAAAAAAY too long!!!   We have travelled back to the UK to work on new songs for the upcoming album.  The Album launch will link into completion of a TV pilot for the much anticipated 'Neo-Tao' series.

Both Chi and I will be starring in the series so it's all kinda exciting stuff, I must apologise again for the lack of TLC we've been giving this blog, but I do hope I get to communicate with the AnD community more frequently.

Missing Hong Kong yet I always do, it's truly a place that stands alone in this world and I cherish each time I get to experience it.  I hope you all forgive this brief little update but please contact us and keep in touch as much as you wish, I'll definately be here to reply you all from time to time.

    Peace Love Empathy

    Dani (Front-Man of Jaigon)

  • The Journal Begins...

    Hong Kong, 2008 - Tuesday 22July 2.51am

Almost one month in Hong Kong, time passes quickly but the days are always eventful.  I finally have the time and mind to sit on the computer and reach out somewhat, to anyone who cares to read my jargon.  Times have already been filled with wonder and emotion, my mind has been attempting to solve many problems and equally I've been doing all I can to embrace my personal aims with heading back to this city.  This is my third time here, now staying in a place I'd never known before 39 floors into the sky (feel like we live in Laputa).  The band has been embraced by HK and I am forever humbled by the reactions HK Live has given us as well as the support from The Underground.  I'm a little bit baffled by the fact we headline our first gig here and support on our second, interesting to do the most intense show first, yet, when in Rome... right?  The radio interview is set up after two weeks of organising this website and taking in the sights etc.
There is buzz in the air here, an unseen force or vibration if you prefer.  We appear to be riding this buzz as so much is fitting together nicely.  There has however been a communication breakdown someplace, we've been asked several times to talk on our influences and the such; many standard questions to depict our sound so that others will pour into our gigs.  I'm totally aware of the needs for such questions, but to clarify, JAIGON began life as a soundtracking tool.  For those in the know, think of all the Anime shows that have a nicely weaved intro video featuring some relevant J-Pop/Rock band to bring forwards the emotion/themes of the series somewhat.  Well my vision was to produce a 'Neo-Tao' online series and JAIGON was a way to create out own songs for intro/outro clips.  Why not?  we have the talent in our ranks and the musical needs to make this happen (not to mention we save a bunch of money right).  The turn around was when we played our recorded EP to friends and family and got some major feedback: suddenly, we saw a way we could bring something very special to life.  I'm quickly tempted to write a more in depth bio of the band here but I think you understand the logics, so when anyone asks us what is our influences or if dear reader you are curious...  Our influences are 'Neo-Tao' plot points, some you've seen and some you are yet to.  Whatever we sound like is incidental and usually quite unintentional, but be under NO illusion we play live because we love to inspire, we love to reach out and, well, just ask any muscian what the best part of their job is.  I guess what I'm saying here is there is no desire to jump into a 'Rock star' ego state, this band is a gift not only to us within the line up but also to be given these opportunities.  There is a purpose in all we do, this will become clear in time, for now though I simply thank you Hong Kong, thank you for reminding me of human warmth.  Next entry will not be so work orientated and will be more focused on the adventures I promise!!!  I guess I'm just preparing for the interviews (forever the pro huh?)

    Till next time
    Peace Love Empathy...  Dani

  • The Evolution begins...

    Friday, Jul 18, 2008 1:56PM / News / Members only

The Evolution begins...   JAIGON heads east to begin their much anticipated 'Chaos and Order' tour. In what already promises to be a historical year for China with the Beijing Olympics just around the corner, there is a sense of excitement and celebration in the Eastern air. The largest population in the world will share an event richly deserved to be held on Chinese soil, the world will unite in competition yet as overwhelming as this record breaking event shall be, far down south from Beijing, in one of the world's greatest cities, August 2008 will be the time 'The Carnival' arrives in Hong Kong. Chaos and Order will align and the word on the streets will be... JAIGON.
