Does your show pass the PKD test? In ‘Absence Makes the Heart...’, for a play to pass the PKD test,
1) it must have at least one Indian character 2) the Indian character must not be used as a token or to fill up a quota; and 3) it must not perpetuate stereotypes. Event synopsis is a tad long, but I think it best describes what I saw today. So brilliant and so important. The 1962 play Mimi Fan by Lim Chor Pee, widely recognised as Singapore’s first English-language play, featured two Indian characters, Baram and Sheila Rani. In the ’70s and ’80s, playwrights...Read more

Wrapped filming a while ago on a new Toggle series called Senior Management. This is the first time I’ll appear in almost every episode (altho i’m really not saying much, just... reacting to the weirdness that goes on in the office LOL #cheapthrills) so it was pretty exciting! Also meet my fab colleagues at PNS Logistics ✌? #togglesg #seniormanagement

The first ever Asian Youth Theatre Festival was magical. I watched young theatre makers like myself perform their stories in incredibly eye-opening and inspiring ways. Stories that I'd never get a chance to hear if I hadn't had the chance to be a part of this festival. Stories that made me realize how lucky I was to be living the way I am, stories that made me realise I haven't been exposed enough to the art form that I love, from countries so close to mine. Stories that made me realise the power of theatre in Asia and how it can bring people who may not n...Read more 观看视频
So that's it! I'm going to quote my incredibly hardworking and giving debut director @ermahgerdfud here because being the budding playwright she is, she put it best- my "unique, one-of-a-kind version of Debbie will live and breathe once, before laying to rest forever." Thank you @chelseabyc and @thesecondbreakfastcompany and organisers of the first ever Asian Youth Theatre Festival for giving me the chance to play a role that I identify with so much, and for giving me this incredible opportunity to not only hone my craft and share it at a festival wi...Read more
T-minus 2 days to show day. Lots of feels. Mostly nerves. And a million and one worries in my head. But will try my best to surrender it all to Him. Also swipe left to see what tween fantasy franchise's poster we were trying to emulate ?
Girls' night out at the Fun Home! So glad I got to see a Singaporean production of this after missing the chance to catch it in the US. Even more glad that I got to watch @the.elena.wang starring as Medium Alison after catching her in the ensemble (and understudying Lea Salonga, no less) in Allegiance the musical on Broadway while on exchange 2 years ago ?AND @gailbelmonte IN HER THEATRE DEBUT! So so so proud of you girl! ♥️ #pangdemoniumtheatre #funhomesg
Thanks @sgmonoslam for the cool photos! I performed the monologue "A Leap Year Leap" by Walter Ben Hare on the third day of the Singapore Monologue Slam Semifinals! This monologue eventually got me 2nd place for that round & a place in the Top 15, and I got to compete in the Grand Slam the day after! #throwback
