Bacon donuts, breakfast of champions.
Season 3 out on YouTube Red. Probably the funnest season I've had scoring this show, with creepy carnival/funk music, as well as lots of traditional scary and epic music.

Super stoked, honored, grateful, and humbled to be a part of this amazing group of composers!
"Composition remains one of the least diversified fields in filmmaking." Thank you to Universal for being the first Hollywood Studio to actually do something to make some change happen.

Saw a wonderfully charming film tonight that celebrates the love of cinema and explores the relationship between father and son. Go watch King of Peking on Netflix! https://www.netflix.com/title/80190463
I recently became aware of this Taiwanese composer with the same Chinese family name that I do, and up until his passing a few years ago, lived in LA for several decades! I guess the proper Chinese spelling of my last name, Shaw, would be Hsiao.
First feature documentary film I ever worked on "The Kidnapping of Ingrid Betancourt", about the kidnapping of a Colombian presidential candidate, is now available. It's a moving and fascinating film, and Ingrid was later rescued after 6.5 years in captivity (long after the film was made). https://vimeo.com/ondemand/kib/278634226
This makes me so happy!
