Actually, van Gogh/Gosh! cut part of his left ear off because of a falling out with a GUY! Somebody named Paul....it's in Wikipedia.

There seems to be some confusion among readers as to why I refered to this as the Van Gogh move....Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who suffered from mental illness. He removed part of his left ear after a falling out with one of his friends. He later committed suicide. But, here, I am referring to the ear-removing process. Ouch. That is all.
