Race for the Cure 2007

Over 45,000 people- mostly women- signed up to participate in the Race for the Cure.  To help raise money to work toward a cure for Breast cancer.

This year was the 15th annual race in Arkansas, I've run (or walked) in the race for the past 6 years.  This year and last I've been captian for our Martial Arts association. In the past I've joined teams with my church or work.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help others.  Breas Cancer touches just about everyone in one way or another.  Most people know someone in their family or a friend who has had a personal experience with this. 

In the race people run in memory of those who didn't make it and in honor of those who have survived!

Enjoy the pictures and watch for a race or other opportunity in your local area!

I took some pictures of my weekend ride,  turns out that it was Bike Week and I got t spend the weekend with about 2000+ other bikers!
I knew that there is a rally in the fall but I didn't realize it was this weekend. HA!
I got to meet and hang with some great people from all over.
There were so many different types of bikes! I had a blast - I hope you like my pictures!

It seems that the work may never be totally finished!

First we had to 'gut' the building.  Next we had to clean it up and build the dressing rooms.  Then clean some more...  Paint, put up the mirrors, get 'temporary' flooring for the workout area.

We have also added some nice creative touches to the walls.  Our Training Principles, the belt colors, and one of our logos. 

Still on the list of things to do... benches for storage and seating in the front, finish the office.  Maybe we can even get the ceiling done one of these days.
