My latest acting adventure alongside my new best friend Scarlett Johansson is now out in cinemas. Unfortunately my Oscar potential performance has been cut short by Director Rupert Sanders to 0.3 of a second and to a blurred body shot walking across the screen in a dark alley in front of a lady of dubious repute.

This is currently circulating on social media as an anti-Trump meme. Many of my close friends will recognise this as a sticker produced in the early 1980s by the Federation of Conservative Students as part of the anti-CND pro-cruise missile/Reagan campaign that eventually ended the Cold War. My personal anecdote is that as a naughty student I placed a number of these stickers in 1983 behind railings within the Kremlin in Moscow which I found on subsequent visits in 1984 and 1986 were still very much in place!

The site of the first ever CPC meeting -now a Communist Party museum complete with obligatory Maybach. Was rather tickled when a retired teacher came up to me and in perfect English told me not to believe a single world of the nonsense as the Party was deeply corrupt and it was only a matter of time before the younger generation demanded multi-party democracy... Here here I thought!
