• Selfish Desire by Rraay Lai

  I bumped into this decent looking young man at DNM. FYI, DNM is a mall that sells ''hip'' fashion items in Causeway Bay, next to the Regal Hotel. It is also where MOCA China, HK base, is situated. But the young man is just exhibiting his first solo show in the mall, supported by DNM and Canon, which the profits he makes from this show will partially go to the Obis (spell check later, can't spell these days!)
  
  So it looks like DNM is striving to promote local culture. Props. I like artists who speak the same language. I can't say I have seen many of their works, but artists of my generation, in general, lacks sex in their language. What I'm referring to the the language in art. As if it is a denominator amongst us; all of a sudden I thought to myself, where did this romanticsm go? I haven't heard of stories with robust fundamentals anymore. Not even for myself. Being consistently worried about crossing the boundaries. This city is actually not that uninspirational, maybe it's just the air that we in-take.
