Spring Festival 2009 Launch

A slight change from reviewing all these movies...

So, why haven't I made any short films yet?

Have I been lazying around eating nothing but twisties and drinking diet pepsi while trying to get all the trophies in Resident Evil 5? Well, if you didn't know, I do have a full time day job in Events Management and with September coming up, it is our annual Spring Festival. A week and a half ago, we had our Spring Festival 2009 Launch function held at our Council's Leisure Centre. Below are some pics.   <...Read more

Cedar Boys

If you read my earlier post about the Australian film industry, you know where I stand with it's commercial ability and how it is so sad to see films not able to recoup the cost of producing it. With this trend, it won't be long till what's left of the industry becomes extinct.Cedar-Boys-Cover We stole some pills that are tagged... but that's fine, we'll still make money from them, no one will kn...Read more

District 9

Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9 is one of the new breed of film makers that are inspired by the great sci fi genre of the 70s-90s and the age of video games.

Watching District 9, I couldn’t help myself by seeing so many references to past films and video games. Just to name a few, the most obvious being ET The Extraterrestrial and Half Life even a bit of HAL...Read more

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

After seeing the trailer of the Half Blood Prince, I was pretty pumped to watch the movie. Having not read any of the books before, I had no expectations of the film story wise. But what the trailer did make me expect was action and plenty of conflict! And what do I get? A film full of unnecessary sub plots and an ending that left me unsatisfied. July Wedding Shoots

The past few months I helped Papercranes film a few weddings by being the 2nd cameraman. Here are a few wedding highlight trailers: Lisa and Nuno Wedding

This wedding was held in April at a beautiful function centre, Miramare Gardens at Terrey Hills. The shoot was really easy (physically) since the ceremony and reception was all at one place.

Lisa & Nuno Cinemat...Read more

But this post isn’t about that movie, but it did gross $500,000 in it’s opening week end.I was on the Read more

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I was looking forward to Transformers. If you’ve had a chance of reading my review of the first film, you’d know that I’m one of those man child that grew up on the series.

One of my main dislikes of the first film was that it focused a bit too much on the human characters. Well, this time, the human cast are the supporting characters and it’s more about the conflict of the ...Read more
