If this was a word association excersize I would reach the conclusion that a lot of y'all were thinking naughty thoughts , I blame the Rafael Nadal thread for creating a bunch of pent up tennis groupies

I can't think of any but I don't wanna go to an anagram solver....

Alright, here....

greetings

interest or
tangents

That's if we can DROP one letter as well as add one letter. And at the same time change a letter.  Too complicated?

If that's ok with the rule-maker.  It makes sense or else the words can start getting really long.

Otherwise, then I'll go to the anagram solver and

greetings

An anagram solver? I didn't know there was such a thing... I thought we were just using our brains.

I also had the thought that everytime somebody adds a letter, the words would quickly become too long.

I'm a very novice crossword puzzler so I've found those things before.  I used it on the last one, as disclosed, just to move it along.  I always "cheat" when I crossword or else I'd never be able to move on.  But it's still good to exercise your brain.  The NYTimes puzzles are HARD.

You're obviously naturally very good at this Star.

Someone has to come up with an anagram for

Integers

So new rules?

You can drop a letter?
As well as change a letter?

P.S  If you like word games, Will Shortz, the puzzle editor for the NYTimes, is on NPR every Sunday morning with a different word game which he does with a listener as well as issues a new challenge for the next week. It's fun to play along. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard. I rarely play the weekly challenge but playing might be a good idea in the use it or lose it kind of way.  Here's the page from the National Public Radio website.
