i just got back from the most unrelaxing trip to hawaii that anyone could possibly have taken.  here is what went down...

430am wake up confused (later find out everyone is still out and i could have just joined)
730am peter calls to see what my plans are, thank god i'm awake
830am leave for pearl harbor
1015am get to pearl harbor (grant you it is only suppose to take ~25mins to get there)
130pm lunch
3pm sanrio store
4pm bert gives up seat, rush back to hotel cuz he will be staying with me (i got upgraded to suite)
5pm meet up w/ linda
6pm go to beach
930pm meet up for dinner
1030pm actually decide on dinner
midnight head back to hotel

12-4pm only actual sun time while in hawaii                 430pm red eye flight back to atlanta
5pm shopped as i was on way to meet the gals

i could really use some sleep...

on the flip side, i did get some great pictures!!!

ohhhhhhh... i could have shot someone on saturday!  pulled out all her hair and maybe given her two black eyes!  so saturday was my last day of a crazy crazy week.  i had been driving all around atlanta for jobs and castings and i was ready for it to be done with.  i was ready for my last show to be over and to just lay low till thursday when i hop on a flight to hawaii for a wedding/vacation. 

so i  was doing a "runway" show for a local boutique on saturday 6-9.  i get a brings email for the lady running to event and find out that she (herself) changed the call time to 3 as opposed to 6.  i don't think so!!  my agent says 6 so i do 6.  i get there at 6 and she is a little upset cuz i am "late"  whatever!  not my fault.  if you change the time, you don't contact me directly... you go the agent, they renegotiate rates and then i am told to be there at a different time.  professional... remember.

so this show consisted of maybe 4 actual models and then rest were people pulled in from god knows somewhere.  all of the girls were really nice and sweet.  and then... there was stacy.  the best way i can describe her is, and i quote, " like omg!  i am so wonderful.  i model all the f-ing time and i am just the super fab model of the year!  i like i get to open this show and i have to most changes and i'm soooooooo important.  look at me!!!!!  and since this line up is getting all messed up cuz people arent changing fast enough, i think that i should wait in the back and be the one to close the show cuz it only makes sense since i opened the show.  and really, the makeup is taking forever and we are not going to start on time but i'm just going to sit here and wait cuz you can't really expect me to put on my own makeup.  hello... do you know who i am"  SERIOUSLY!!!!!!  i truly think she thought she was the next best thing since sliced bread.  you are pretty in a "yeah, she's pretty" type of way but you walk into either click or elite here in atlanta and see if they will take your 5'5" ass seriously as a runway model.  you continue doing your most wonderful lingerie shows in nightclubs.  i'm sure you are big and important there!  really! it was a show for a boutique/spa's one year anniversary.  it's not like you where meeting alexander mcqueen!

and... it was the most chaotic show i have ever done!  thank god they were paying me well.  i don't know what the others got paid since they did it probably went through craigs list or model mayhem (probably free hair services).  but i really wanted to tell all 6 of the girls trying to run the show to shut up, discuss amongst themselves and come up with a uniformed plan so that we aren't sitting there listening to 6 different sets of directions.  or you could just give me the job and the show would have been over 30 minutes ago.  i really don't want to be "that" person, but really... i'm not an amateur.   i'm not going to be happy to be there.  it's my job and please treat me like a professional and not someone that you just asked to be in a show.  and please, just shoot (well maybe not shoot but definitely cause massive bodily harm upon) that girl named stacy so that the rest of us can have our air back cuz her talking was taking it all up.

there are very few movies that i really, really enjoy but i watched one last night that was wonderful.  another wonderful part of the movie was that it was Kar Wai Wong's first dabble into english film "my blueberry nights" and it was amazaing!!!!  job well done! 

the movie is focused around norah jones character, elizabeth, who has been jilted in love and is trying to find a way to say goodbye.  she leaves town and along the way meets wonderful people who help her realize and come to terms with her own failed relationship.  she doesn't so much as ask for help but just stands back and takes in the lives of others.

i don't want to be the one that spills the beans about this movie so if you want to know more then check out imdb.  i just wanted to let everyone know of this wonderful movie. norah jones was great and jude law, david strathairn, rachael weisz and natalie portman made for a wonderful cast!!

just go and rent it to see for yourself!
