VANS STORE OPENING PARTY HONG KONG

FINALLY, it’s a long time coming! Hong Kong’s 1st VANS store.  Last night (28th APR 09) was the opening party of the store.

Its’ located at Mong Kok Langham Place 6/F.  Definitely come down and check it out.

Many people showed up last night.  Good job on Billy Pang, Lee Hawk and the VF HK crew.  Respect.

SHINJUKU INCIDENT

A few weeks ago we were invited to see The Hong Kong Film Festival premier of the NEW movie called SHINJUKU INCIDENT starring Jackie Chan, Daniel Wu, Ping Ping Fan, etc

It was a movie about Chinese illegal immigrants trying to make a living in one of the worlds busiest cities Tokyo, Japan.

adidas 60th Anniversary of Sole & Stripes

Dayeem, it’s been 60 years since adidas registered for their sole & stripes logo.  60 is a big number of years so adidas is celebrating it big all over the world.

Of course, they wouldn’t miss it in Hong Kong. adidas invited a couple of artists in Hong Kong to participate in this celebration.

24Herbs were performing that night with 3 songs and 1 new song made for The Original, adidas.

HABITAT IN HONG KONG

Joe Castrucci started Habitat with the support from Chris Carter and Mike Hill back in 1999, time flies, it’s been 10 years since Habitat been around and getting stronger and stronger.

VANS ERA

One of the most classic shoes from Vans is this model called ERA.  ERA is just like AUTHENTIC but slightly padded around the ankle area, supposedly for extra support while you are skateboarding.

Hands down, the most copied shoe in the industry (check out Comme Des Garcons, Yohji Yamamoto, Visvim amongst other high end brands).

NO doubt, VANS and KEDS are the 2 OG of these shoe models.

Still strong in skateboarding or fashion, these shoes will go a long long way.

Back in 2002 when we first carried Crooks & Castles at 8FIVE2SHOP, it was only a couple of tee shirt graphics!
