Okay, long time no blog..I barely have time to breathe lately...

I need to ask eveyrbody some help. I need to write a paper about Democracy in Taiwan (yeah, I don't know why either), so I thought it would be a good idea to do an online survey abt it to include it in my paper.
When I told my teacher he said it was a good idea, if I found 100 people to take it.

So, what's going on? Well...paper is for wednesday...and I only have up to 35 people who took the survey -_-U

So for those of u who are taiwanese, please, take this very short survey, it only has 3 questions, and it will take u less than one minute.

And for those of u who know people from Taiwan...please spread the word!!!

Thanks a lot everyone!!! U can find the survey here:

Translate the questions to Chinese.  There are many Taiwanese here.  It will help if you can get someone to translate to Chinese.

i have sent it out to a few friends. you know the question about being taiwanese or chinese is very complicated. most taiwanese are ethnically chinese but do not consider part of todays' mainland china, which is a political issue.

many of them are 2nd, 3rd generation of emmigrants from the mainland, could be fujian, could be the kejia (hakka), or simply people that belonged to the guomindang from any part of the mainland that moved to taiwan before 1949. there are also taiwanese with japanese ties, but taiwanese full aborigens are a very small percentage.

but if u define "taiwanese" as a nationality or by being born there, then they are all taiwanese too. so that is why i think the question is so complex.

anyway, long subject for discussion ;)
