I was going call my blog, I need a bed but the Cure song kept popping into my head.  I do need a bed and I have been looking on trademe (NZ's equivalent to ebay) and also this one bed in the uk (yes sometimes I like to be decadent and I am getting a little extra on my mortgage so if I want to be extravagent and buy a bed from the other side of the world I can, it will do wonders for my carbon foot print )

    Opinions please:

I quite like oak and this would work in my new old house

This is something a bit different and is apparently hand carved in Tanzania (but I prob wont get, as cool as it is, it's not really me)

I like this one and it is reasonably priced (so are the ones above)

I really like this one too but would have to ship it from the UK (just the frame, I would get the mattress here)

Hey I like that Cure song too!  The Cure rocks :)  I like the first oak style.  It looks sturdy and has a nice strong headboard.  If you believe in feng shui at all, a solid headboard is a must to support you when you sleep.

I like the wood one (#1) the best.....but my style is KISS (keep it simple, silly!).  Plus, I can just see myself getting hurt on all the pokey metal things....something good and solid causes less bruising!  Good luck with bed shopping!

actually i like oak bed, but seems hard to move when you rearrange or clean up the room. so choose this iron one.
the height of matress looks safe compered to another iron bed (^O^)

I'm into metal (iron?) beds and this one is gorgeous. Nice touch with the curly ends.

I have a black oak bed with minimalist decor,  but I admit I love these iron beds, too. Must be hard to decide
Tell us about your decision :)

The oak one is nice too but that makes the bed the overwhelming design statement for the room.  That's what I like about the wrought iron beds -- they're airy and then you can add an eclectic group of side pieces.  If you get any bed, check to see if
you can upgrade to a super sturdy frame.  The wrought iron's just the decoration.

I like this one.  Good clean lines but enough detail to give you a little feminine flair.

I like this one but I like to sit up against the bed head without having bits of iron sticking in my back, but it is a nice bed!!!
