Going to see the Olympics live is one of those things that you should do in your lifetime.

It is inspiring to see a nation of 1.2billion people can come together and cheer.
let alone all of the people of chinese descent, come together and cheer for the purpose to inspire not necessarily the best athlete of the sport but the people chosen to represent their country in that sport.

its just easier to not do the things you want to do and to do what comes by?

as with most people, there is a dream and fantasy of being free of work and living the life without restrictions.

Jet Lagged....??

not yet, i just got back home around 11:00pm eastern time. a 16 hr ordeal on Cathay Pacific. They were accomodating but looking at the business class and first class seats makes you jealous on a 16 hr flight.

Well it is wednesday, around 8am in the morning, and what to do...??

no work, this week that i know of as of yet.

so the next most important thing that i can think of is working on the apartment. i just closed about a month ago, and now i have to set up all of the innerworkings of a "home". It looks like there will be no renovations as of yet due to budget restraints, and now for the basics. cleaning painting, sleeping, and maybe eatting, and maybe even a little bit of living.

well the main thing for today is to start scrapping, popcorn anything as design element i dont like.

 

Well the races are over for me in HK 2008. It has been a great journey through the ups and downs and the wet stormy weather of HK. As the trip continued i started to ask myself if i could live in HK, i think i could but i dont know if i would want to. The food is good and the culture is interesting, there's alot to learn for me since im an ABC, or american for that matter. i dont know much chinese if any at all, but i suppose i could work it out through the english speaking areas of HK and most everyone knows a little bit of english.

so about dragon boating again, In the races at the Stanley Dragon Boat Festival my team DCH we placed first in the mixed races and had a good performace in the men's championship final, but as all dragon boat festivals have their faults we got caught up in it.

In the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival we did alright, not good but just ok. We placed 4th in the Mixed Cup championship, and we placed 1st in the Open Plate championship.

our next endeavour is to hit up KFC and Pizza Hut while eatting ice cream and donuts and whatever else we can get out hands on. ha ha

we have Montreal to focus on, to fix our faults that have been exposed this time around.

It will be a great year in Dragon Boating for DCH we will return!
